Patisserie Valerie Liverpool

I have walked past Patisserie Valerie in Liverpool City Centre many times, thinking ooooo that looks really nice I must visit one day.

So I was very happy when me and my little rascal were invited along last month, to sample their new limited edition Madame Valerie Gateau Slice

WOWZERS just look at it!

Described as:

"Scrumptious chocolate sponge layered with caramel cream and honeycomb pieces. Decorated with salted caramel and white chocolate truffles, finished with chocolate cigar."

The gateau was created by Katie Bignell from Bristol, it was the winning design from the Madame Valerie Gateau Inventor competition Patisserie Valerie, ran in conjunction with Superbreak in 2016.

The new gateau, which is priced at £32.95, (£2.95 a slice) is a limited edition gateau and will be available until the end of April 2017. You can shop online, here or in store.

The gateau is absolute perfection, combining all of my favourite things: chocolate, honeycomb, salted caramel and a big tasty profiterole. The slice was huge, and so worth £2.95.
Me and my little rascal shared it - and we struggled to finish it.

I really enjoyed visiting the Liverpool branch, situated at the entrance of the Met Quarter.
The staff were attentive and informative. I never tend to stop when in shopping mode, but I plan to make more on an effort in future. With an array of cakes, delicious cappuccino's and spacious tables, it is the perfect place to visit, kick back, chill, and stuff your face with all their delicious goodies.

Have you tried the limited edition gateau? Have you visited Patisserie Valerie before?
