Budget Beauty Buys

Do you love a bargain? YES I THOUGHT SO!

I have picked out some of my favourite high-street make-up and skincare finds that I have aquired over the past couple of years. I have whittled down the best of the best, and the majority of products featured in this post, rival any similar high-end products in my stash.
beauty budget buys

Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Night Pads:
When I don't have a pot of these in, my skin hates me. It kicks off big style. I have used these pads for years and years. I have a full review of the night pads here, in a nut shell they exfoliate, renew skin and leave it looking radiant, refreshed and hydrated. The day pads are especially beneficial as they leave the skin feeling refreshed, they create a smooth canvas that helps foundation to appear more flawless. They also improve skin tone by reducing the appearance of blemishes, pigmentation and scaring .

I have tried the Malin & Goetz Resurfacing Gylcolic Pads that retail at £40 and they are not a patch on the Nip+Fab Pads, that can retail at anything between £8-£12, depending what offers Boots or Superdrug have on.

NYX Professional Makeup Micro Brow Pencil:
My make-up artist introduced me to this brow pencil, which is the best dupe of Anastasia Beverley Hills Brow Wiz I have come across.
The micro pencil helps you to create natural strokes through the brow, and the spoolie is high quality and doesn't break off, every Anastasia Brow Wiz I have purchased the spoolie snaps off within a couple of weeks, which is such a pain. The shades of the NYX Micro Brow Pencil are hard to pick out online so I would recommend that you try this product in store, but at a bargain price of just £8 compared to £15.50 for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz. I would say this hands down is the winner.

Loreal Clay Face Mask:
This is the third pot I have purchased. Priced at around £5, again dependent on what offers are floating about, this is a great purse friendly alternative to Cult Face Mask Glamglow Youth Mud that retails at £39. Now there is no dispute that Glamglow brings more to the table, in regards to more visible results. It is an intense treatment that exfoliates, resurfaces and prevents breakouts. But, this L'Oreal mask also delivers in regards to exfoliating skin, softening and hydrating skin. It is a less intense treatment, but priced at £5 it delivers, and I will now always have one in my stash. Full review here

Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer:
I am bowled over by this concealer, I use this under my eyes when I have had a spray-tan, just as there is only 2 shades in the range, and even the lightest is to dark for me.
But when I have all the tan on, well it is pretty much perfect.
I love the sponge applicator, a couple of swipes under each eye, and buff out with a beauty blender, hey presto - you are done. A lightweight and sheer formula, but still covers all that needs to be covered, and with no creasing. When I am not using it under my eyes, it works a dream to combat any redness around my T-Zone, or cover any blemishes. A good all rounder,  but with only 2 shades to choose from, and a product that is so good? More shades most definitely need to be added to this line. It is priced at a bargain £7.99 and I prefer it over Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer priced at £22.50, as it feels more comfortable on the skin, and it is much easier to blend - all whilst offering similar coverage.

Makeup Revolution Goddess Of Faith Triple Baked Highlighter
I reviewed this here there is swatches and pictures of me wearing it, Goddess Of Faith it is a pinkie pearl colour, that is very, very pigmented. It's incredibly finally milled, so gives a really natural glow, opposed to a thick cakey finish. Priced at just £4.99 I don't have another that is a similar shade in my stash but I find it to rival some of my more high-end highlighters, in terms of quality and longevity.

Peggy Sage Aqua Silky Foundation:
I am a professed foundation snob, high-end in my opinion are always the better option in terms off colour range, longevity and quality.
My make-up artist introduced me to this brand, and this foundation is priced at just £13 on Salons Direct.
It reminds me so much of Chanel Aqua Silky Foundation priced at £34, but I actually find Peggy Sage's to be more long lasting on my skin, again I just wish they offered more shades in the range.
Full review here with swatches.

What are your budget beauty buys? I would love to hear.
