As we get older the "majority" of people become more conscious of their actions, words, and the way they behave. Life lessons on the whole, show that every action has an equal and opposite reaction.
We treat someone bad? Well someone will treat us bad!
We do good things, with a genuine and caring heart. Then good things will be returned to us.
We work hard at our career or hobby, we will reap the rewards.
We look after our mind, body and soul. We will spiritually evolve and in time, find true-inner happiness.
We can't be a mean person, never do a days work in our life, slob on the couch all day, and then wonder why we have no friends, are skint - and incredibly unhappy.
But sometimes we can really try our best, and life doesn't deliver.
We can sometimes try our very hardest in our job. Only to be told it is not good enough.
We can treat people nice and do our best by them, but they choose to treat us badly.
We can try to have a positive outlook in life, but challenging and heartbreaking things are sent our way.
It is easy to get bogged down when life isn't all rosy.
But it is at this point where I feel this quote:
"Every action has an equal and opposite reaction"
is most significant.
The reaction is not always going to be what we expected, or a reaction we particularly like, but this is the reaction we have been given, and it is our choice to flip it on its head learn something from it - and make it into a positive.
Someone tells us, our hard work was no good? Question it? Don't feel deflated, or get upset, push to find out how we could have done it better. Then let's do better.
Someone treats us bad? Address it. If they don't do it again, then great we will see the relationship flourish and grow.
If they continue to hurt us and disrespect us then it is time to move on, and end the relationship or friendship. Easier said than done yes, but the great thing about being a grown-up is we get to chose who we spend our time with. This should be with the people who lift us - not drain us.
Challenging and heartbreaking events land at our door, we shouldn't be afraid to cry, scream or mourn.
But we should try and cling onto, and focus on every inch of the good in life.
It is there, and going through dark times, even though it doesn't seem like at the time.
It makes us stronger.
It helps us to really appreciate and savour the glorious and happy times that little bit more.
No rain, no flowers.
As the old saying goes.
So yes, what comes around goes around. It may not always be what we expected or what we deserve.
But either way, we can learn and take something positive and beneficial from everything life throws our way - good or bad.

I agree with this so much and love reading posts like this. Sometimes I feel like I am constantly on the down, or constantly giving and not receiving anything good back BUT it comes at some point. Swings and roundabouts! I've had a tough time over the last few years but it has definitely made me so much stronger as a person. x
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that you took the positives out the tough times you experienced Laura. xxxx
DeleteThis is very true Ant. Karma does exist and people should be courteous of their actions as it can come back to bite them! You see this a lot on social media too, and people do need to be careful before commenting and what they say xxx
ReplyDeleteI know Annie you are so right. Every action has an opposite reaction. xx
DeleteLove this post! Through hard times, I always tell myself that this is only temporary and it definitely helps xx
ReplyDeleteBeautylymin
That is such a good approach to have, thanks for reading. xxx
DeleteI love this! I'm always harping on about karma but it really does exist, if I do something positive for someone else, something good always happens relatively soon. You're such a wise soul xxxx
ReplyDeleteIt really does, thanks babes. xxx
DeleteI loved this post, you are so inspiring and such a lovely person Ant <3 I totally agree with all of this, we had so much horrible stuff happen from late 2015 to half way through 2016 and it was hard but I kept thinking "surely something good has to come" and it did. I believe in paying it forward too and always try my best, even just little things like each week we put something into the food bank trolley at our supermarket and I giveaway a lot of my pr samples to the local Boots store who makeup the shoe boxes at Christmas, it's not much but I try and I am always there for my friends, family and anyone who needs me anytime, but I have been pooped on from a great height more than once, much more and I recently found something out about one of these people and my god have they got their karma! Sorry for my essay xxxx
ReplyDeleteDon't ever be sorry love, I loved reading your comment. You are a lovely supportive lady. xxx
DeleteI do think Karma is a thing and I do believe it will come back and bite people. My Nan always used to say No Rain No Flowers and then raise her brow in that 'I know, you know, lets see' kinda of way... now it would be a mic drop x
ReplyDeleteI love the quote: "No Rain No Flowers" it is so simple, but so true. xxx
DeleteI really believe if you put positive energy out into the universe it will come back your way. It's so easy to stoop down to the level of others but I always try my best to rise above it.
ReplyDeleteIt is the best way to be Roxie, thanks for reading as always. xx
DeleteI love this post babe! I believe that good or bad experiences make you stronger and as Roxie said, if you put positive energy out there, it will come back!

I loved this - you're so wise x
ReplyDeleteSounds like the right mindset to have - dwelling on things you can't change is not good for anyone!

Totally agree with everything you said! Life throws some obstacles your way but what you can do is try to find a way to get past it, good or bad. Xx
ReplyDeleteI agree, I think as you get older you learn more and realise the saying is true. I am a true believer that things happen for a reason and something good will come from it in the end.

As they say with age comes wisdom - I firmly believe everything does and doesn't happen for a reason...if only I realised that sooner x
ReplyDeleteLoved this post! So easy to relate to, as I think everything happens for a reason one way or another xx

Loved this post. It's so worth remembering this especially at trying times. Paying something forward is such a nice feeling but equally remembering what goes around comes around when treated unfairly is helpful. X
ReplyDeleteGreat post and really well written too. I always believe everything happens for a reason!

What a well written post, loved it!
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree with you more on this! Not only do I have to believe this for myself, but I have to believe it for others too. So when they're causing a drama that directly affects me, I have to know that karma will pay them back somewhere along the line, I just have to hold my head high and be the bigger person for a while. Though a sneaky 'I told you so' when they finally get their comuppance is the cherry on the cake!
