Woodlands Beauty Baltic Triangle Review

I love having a pamper in a salon, it's unfortunately something that I don't get to do very often though.
(GET THE VIOLINS OUT PLEASE)

When I was invited along to Woodlands Aesthetic & Beauty at the Baltic Triangle Liverpool to have two treatments, I jumped at the opportunity, and then practically sprinted along to the salon.

The Baltic Triangle is a very up-and-coming hip part of Liverpool, with new innovative business's opening by the day.
The salon was easy to find, and with 2 hours free parking right outside it is a great alternative to visiting the City Centre - where parking can be pretty hefty on the ole purse strings.

I loved the decor of the salon it had a modern Swiss chalet feel to it, and was bright and airy. The small space felt so cosy and snug.

Antonia (not me, there is another one out there) was friendly, passionate and very chatty - completely putting me at ease.

I decided to have a shellac treatment on my finger nails, and a facial.

I get shellac done regularly so needed some removed, before Antonia started the treatment.
She done this quickly by wrapping my nails in acetone and tinfoil and simply wiping off the excess. My usual technician uses an electric file to remove it, which can be very damaging to the nail. So as you can imagine I preferred this non-evasive approach to removing the shellac, it is so much kinder on the talons.

I picked a beautiful iridescent lilac/pink shade from the CND Shellac range, the shade was called Beckoning Begonia and I opted for a glitter top coat on my ring finger, because well why not have glitter?
Plus look how pretty they look.

So it was now facial time. WHOOP!

Antonia asked me about my skincare routine and I told her I have Obagi blue facial peels every 6 weeks, and use glycolic and hyaluronic acid regularly. She was very knowledgable and passionate about skincare. She decided she would pimp my treatment and tailor the facial to suit me, as my skin was used to intense facial treatments and products.

The whole experience was so relaxing, it lasted around an hour (sorry didn't time, I was far to relaxed by this point). The usual steps of taking make-up off, cleansing toning and exfoliating the skin took place. I particularly adored the Dermaquest pumpkin face mask. Antonia said it was rich in enzymes that digest excess skin cells. It also has AHAs (include glycolic, lactic, tartaric, malic) that decongest clogged pores helping skin to appear polished. I adored the scent and texture of the mask, and the in-depth back and arm massage that accompanied it - well it was one of the best I have ever had.

Antonia finished with some hyaluronic acid (my fave) and then a rich moisturiser.
Once the treatment was over my skin looked so plump, hydrated and radiant.

The products used, and the treatment itself was up-to-date with current trends.
I have sensitive skin and non of the products irritated me during the treatment, (and I didn't have any reactions or breakouts after).

I left feeling well and truly pampered.
I recommend this salon highly the whole experience was laid back, and I felt totally spoilt from start to finish.
