Beauty: ReNEW Skincare & Aesthetics Liverpool

I was invited alone to ReNEW Skincare & Aesthetics in Liverpool to have a facial peel.

I am 31, and my skin has definitely changed over the past couple of years. I felt I needed to up my skincare routine, and start to delve into professional treatments now and again.

My concerns included my skin looking very dull,  some mild acne scarring that occurred after I had my son, clogged pores around my chin, blackheads, and fine lines.

The facial peel I decided to have, and recommended by Dr Kate was a salicylic peel. I had never had a facial peel before, and was a little apprehensive about having it done. After doing some research online and chatting with Dr Kate via email, I felt a lot more comfortable having the treatment done. I thought your skin actually peeled off, and it would burn and I would be a walking, talking, peeling tomato. Well thankfully, this is not the case.

Beauty: The Body Shop Vitamin C Daily Glow Cleansing Polish & Glow Booster Microdermabrasion Review

I am back at you with another offering from the The Body Shop.

I was invited to their blogger event in Liverpool 1 the beginning of the May, and told the lovely ladies that my skin was a little dull, and they all raved about the Vitamin C range.

With a 3 for 2 offer on, I took full advantage and picked up 3 items from the range. Today I will be talking about the Vitamin C Daily Glow Cleansing Polish and the Vitamin C Glow Boosting Microdermabrasion

Beauty: Mini Skincare Loves

So, mini products, they just the cutest huh? Beauty monthly subscription boxes, free gifts with purchases, and all that jazz doing the rounds around the beauty world - I end up just throwing them in a big box, and never really give them any attention.

So I have picked out the best of the best of the minis in my stash, and have finally give them the attention they most definitely deserve.

Beauty: The Body Shop Oils Of Life Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil

If you are a tad partial to popping over to this neck of the woods, you may know that my favourite "must have" skincare item that I added to my night-time routine in recent years, is a facial oil. The difference it has made to my skin condition, and appearance is astounding.

I picked the The Body Shop Oils of Life Facial Oil around four weeks ago now. I initially was drew in by the packaging, but then on further inspection reading the description - I knew I had to try it.

Beauty: Skinova Acropass Eyezone Care Patches Review & Giveaway

Today I am going to be chatting about the Acropass EYEZONE CARE* patches.

I was so excited to try these,  I only use an eye cream, and I have never used any type of patch before. At the moment my eye area is in good nick, and I have never really suffered with any bags, fine lines or puffiness. But after a couple of late nights, a month or so ago with nights out, being poorly and working a lot, well damn, my eye area did start to look, and feel a little out of sorts.

Then these landed on my desk. What perfect timing?

Beauty: THE BODY SHOP - CAMOMILE SUMPTUOUS CLEANSING BUTTER

I have used The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter on and off, for around a year now. It's one of them that you stop using, buy again - and then wonder why you ever stopped?

This is an amazing cleanser. I have tried Emma Hardies Moringa Cleansing Balm, which is pretty expensive and I liked it, but hand on heart I prefer this Body Shop Butter.

Beauty: Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Extreme Pads 80ml Review

Anything with glycolic wrote on, well am all over. Glycolic acid is an exfoliator that sheds the outer layer of dead skin cells, helping bring the new skin to the surface.

Its such a good all rounder, helping with anti-ageing, sun spots and acne.

I had been dying to try the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel. The reviews were amazing that I had read online, and the description of the product sounded right up my street.

Beauty: Caudalie Vinosource Thirst Quenching Serum

Anything with thirst quenching on its label, well I am all over it hook, line and sinker.

These cold months skin can get so dehydrated and appear dull. This serum caught my eye as it is pretty cheap compared to what I usually spend, and had rave reviews on Space NK.

Caudalie is a brand I like, beauty box subscriptions always seem to pop samples in of their products, so I had a feel for the brand and decided to take a risk and try this serum.

Beauty | | Clarins Daily Energizer Wake-Up Booster

The title grabbed me! Energiser Wake-Up Booster, sounds just like what I need in the morning, that, and a rocket up my backside.
I was on the hunt for a light refreshing toner, that brightened, and lightly refreshed the skin in the morning, and made me look 16 again. (One can wish).
Reading the description of this product - I was like YES this is what I want.
Clarins describe it as: "A radiance boosting gel with a moisturising action to ensure a soft, smooth look while its toning benefits refresh and provides a pleasant feeling of well-being. The complexion is left looking radiant and healthy"

Beauty || La Roche - Posay New Effaclar Anti-Blemish System

la roche posay new effalclar anti blemish system

Last Christmas I rambled about the La Roche - Posay Effaclar Duo. My skin was in a bad place and I had read such good things about this product. Instead of linking the whole post I thought I would take a chunk from that post (of the best bits) and put it here so you can read my thoughts.

Ohhh you think am a being lazy?? Wellll, am gonna stop you right there and explain. I ain't being lazy or cutting corners, I just truly think I hit the nail on the head the first time round, no point fixing it if it ain't broken huh?

La Roche-Posay claim " Pores are purified, and imperfections appear reduced. Skin looks smoother and clearer. It appears to regain a long-lasting balance to help recover the qualities of more healthy-looking skin."

****************************************************************************************

My Thoughts!

" This is a white light serum like fluid, with no scent that springs to mind. Once on the skin it absorbs super quick. I could see the difference in two days using this cream. My blocked pores had reduced drastically. No other product has ever done this. Any blemishes I had were not as vicious and had calmed down in half the time it usually takes the little scoundrels to go.

I was using this every day, morning and night for around 5 days and It did dry my skin out. It's targeted for oily skin, which it does say all over the packaging my skin is not - it`s dry as a bone.

I now use it soley on the area where the breakouts are (chin in my case) as a treatment, as it is just too drying for my dry skin to use everywhere.

I use it at the stage when a serum is used, i then apply a nourishing moisturiser after. This process works great for me. I can highly recommend this to anyone who is having problems with their skin, in regard's to spots and acne this is sure to help. I wish I would of took photos to show you the difference, I just didn't expect it to be so good. It calmed the area and dried it up quicker than anything else I have tried."

***********************************************************************

Ok, so yes as you can see I love this product. This was a year ago and I still use it when my skin kicks off. There is no denying this helps clear spots and breakouts.

Readers of this blog will know I have dry and dehydrated skin, so unfortunately this skincare set and the whole shibang isn't tailored for my skin. I have just got my skin back in shape, (punch emoji) so wasn't risking using a skincare set that is aimed for oily skin.

La Roche Posay new Effaclar AntI Blemish System

I already have a stash of the Effaclar Duo Plus ( far right product on picture) in my stash (Boots 3 for 2 I am looking at you).

As I can`t use this  * New Effaclar Anti-Blemish System in conjunction with La Roche - Posay I would love to give my readers a chance to win this fantastic set, so people with oily/normal skin and/or suffer with breakouts get involved, this is gonna show them little rascals who's boss.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo Corrective and Unclogging Anti-imperfectioncare.

Since giving birth to my little boy 13 months ago my skin has never been the same. It is prone to more blemishes sore spots and clogged pores have become a lot more common. I don't know if its to do with a shift in hormones, but being a person who was used to having clear skin it can really get me down.
